ENERGY STAR ® Change a Light, Change the World Campaign

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is participating in the ENERGY STAR ® Change a Light, Change the World Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging consumers to switch to ENERGY STAR qualified lighting products such as compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs). These transactions are tracked by a pledge, completed by the consumer, stating that the change has been made.

NYSERDA has set a goal of obtaining 10,000 pledges. We are looking for individuals, businesses, community groups, schools and other organizations to become a "pledge driver" to help us in reaching our goal. You and your organization can help New York reach its goal by becoming a pledge driver.

CEO's Weatherization Program Helps to Provide a Warm Home

Thankful for her warmer and safer home, Kim Knuetter (pictured with her family) wrote a thank you letter to the CEO Housing Division Staff:

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank your office and staff for the help I received in making my home more energy and fuel efficient.  The last two years have been very difficult since my accident and divorce and the fuel costs during the colder months were a painful financial burden as my accident was disabling and I am unable to work at this time….I have already noticed a difference in my home as far as retaining heat when the heating unit is operating and a marked lack of cold air coming through the windows and doors.

Again, thank you so very much for the assistance and hard work.  I want you to know how truly appreciative I am for being accepted into these programs."

Very truly yours,

Kimberly A. Knuetter
