Custodian (Nassau)

Responsibilities: The Commission on Economic Opportunity is seeking a Fulltime Custodian for our Nassau childcare center. The position is scheduled to work 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-6:00pm and would follow a 10 month school calendar with a summer layoff period. Duties include dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning and restocking restrooms and classrooms. Building and grounds maintenance would include landscaping as needed, snow removal and lawn care.
Qualifications: Prior custodial experience and clean driver’s license required. High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Floater (Part time) Family Resource Center

Title: Floater
Location: Troy, NY
Family Resource Center: Position hours are Monday – Friday, from 11:00am-1:00pm (10 hours per week).
Responsible to provide lunch coverage for various classrooms, and assist teachers with classroom management. Promotes children’s development and learning through developmentally appropriate curriculum. Assist in the completion of required classroom paperwork. Use positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Floater (Part time) Rensselaer Family Resource Center

Title:  Floater / Teacher Assistant
Location:  Rensselaer, NY
Classification:  Non-Exempt
Rensselaer Family Resource Center:  Position hours are Monday – Friday, from 11:00am-1:00pm (10 hours per week).

Responsibilities:  Responsible to provide lunch coverage for various classrooms, and assist teachers with classroom management.  Promotes children’s development and learning through developmentally appropriate curriculum. Assist in the completion of required classroom paperwork.  Use positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.
Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Human Resource Associate

Title:   Human Resource Associate
Location:   Troy, NY
Benefits:   Yes
Classification:   Non-exempt
Responsibilities:   Will be responsible to assist with the day to day Human Resource functions such as, recruitment, on-boarding, employee orientation,  personnel records/file maintenance, database management and filing. Individual will also provide receptionist responsibilities within the building to include greeting guests, FedEx/UPS and supply deliveries. Will also possess the ability to take initiative, anticipate and proactively address needs and issues and handle confidential and sensitive information.

Qualifications:  Qualified candidate will possess an AAS in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word is required.  Must have prior experience working in an HR setting and a valid driver’s license.

 

 

Preschool Teacher (Stepping Stones I)

QUALIFICATIONS: An associate, baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education OR
An associate degree in a field related to early childhood education and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool-age children OR
A baccalaureate or advanced degree in any field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool-age children. Knowledge of daycare licensing requirements preferred. Valid NYS drivers license required.

Teacher Assistant (SRCFRC)

Positions available at our new Nassau childcare location.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Toddler Teacher (Stepping Stones II Daycare)

Title: Toddler Teacher / SSII Daycare
Location: North Greenbush, NY
Division: Early Childhood
Salary: $10.00 / hour to $12.00 / hour

Responsibilities: This is a full time, year round teaching opportunity. Our teachers are responsible to plan and implement age appropriate curriculum and activities, work collaboratively with their co-teacher, center staff, and service providers.
Qualifications: The qualified candidate will have a CDA in Infant/Toddlers or a minimum of 9 Early Childhood college level credits and a plan to obtain a CDA and 2 years experience working with young children.
Preferred: Associate degree in Early Childhood or related field and previous experience working with young children.

SUBSTITUTE Teacher Assistant

Title:  SUBSTITUTE Teacher Assistant
Location:  All Rensselaer County CEO facility locations
Classification:  Non-Exempt
Responsibilities:  To work on an on-call basis.  Will assist teachers with classroom management in childcare/preschool setting within CEO’s daycare centers.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required.  Must be at least 18 years of age.
