Floater (Part Time) Family Resource Center

Title:  Floater
Location: Troy, NY
Salary:  $8.75 / hour

Responsibilities:  Position hours are Monday – Friday, from 11:00am-1:00pm (10 hours per week).
Responsible to provide lunch coverage for various classrooms, and assist teachers with classroom management. Promotes children’s development and learning through developmentally appropriate curriculum. Assist in the completion of required classroom paperwork. Use positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.
Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities:  This position is located within a school district Universal Pre-K classroom. Position hours are Monday – Friday, from 11:00am-1:00pm (10 hours per week). Graduate Services Coordinator (Youth Build Program)

Title:  Graduate Services Coordinator – Youth Build

Responsibilities: Local YouthBuild Program is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team working with at risk teens. Assist students with developing leadership skills, determine job goals, improve job search skills, provide employment readiness and identify local job opportunities with community partners. Excellent grammar and communication skills, experience working in local job market and a desire work with teens a must.
Qualifications:  AAS degree required in human services; a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Prior experience working with disadvantaged youth required. Must have vehicle and clean, valid driver’s license.

 

 

 

Human Resource Associate

Title:   Human Resource Associate
Location:   Troy, NY

Responsibilities:   Will be responsible to assist with the day to day Human Resource functions such as, recruitment, on-boarding, employee orientation,  personnel records/file maintenance, database management and filing. Individual will also provide receptionist responsibilities within the building to include greeting guests, FedEx/UPS and supply deliveries. Will also possess the ability to take initiative, anticipate and proactively address needs and issues and handle confidential and sensitive information.
Qualifications:  Qualified candidate will possess an AAS in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word is required.  Must have prior experience working in an HR setting and a valid driver’s license.

 

 

Toddler Teacher (RFRC)

The Commission on Economic Opportunity is seeking a Toddler teacher for our Early Head Start program in Rensselaer. This position follows a 10 month, school calendar schedule and is subject to a summer layoff period. Hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 3:00pm.

Responsibilities: Promote children’s development and learning through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Use age appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior. Build positive relationships with families through positive and professional communication, creating a classroom environment that is welcoming, respects individual differences and diversity, and encourage parent participation in the classroom.
Build and maintain collaborative and professional relationships with co-teacher and staff. Collaborate and positively communicate with staff in order to ensure effective communication.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma plus an Infant/Toddler CDA, and prior experience with Infant and/or Toddler aged children
Or: AAS or BACHELOR’S in Early Childhood Education and one year teaching experience with infants/toddlers

 

SUBSTITUTE Teacher Assistant

Title:  SUBSTITUTE Teacher Assistant
Location:  All Rensselaer County CEO facility locations
Classification:  Non-Exempt
Responsibilities:  To work on an on-call basis.  Will assist teachers with classroom management in childcare/preschool setting within CEO’s daycare centers.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and experience working with young children required.  Must be at least 18 years of age.
