Title: Assistant Center Manager at Stepping Stones One

Responsibilities: The Commission on Economic Opportunity, the Rensselaer County Head Start provider, is seeking an Assistant Manager for the North Troy Head Start child care center. This person would be responsible to assist with the over all center operations including maintaining Head Start enrollment, ensuring that classroom ratios are maintained and that all OCFS and HS rules and regulations are followed. Will be responsible to assist with supervising child care staff including classroom observations, performance evaluations, disciplinary measures and staff time sheets. This position will follow a 10 month program schedule and will have a summer layoff period.
Qualifications: Min. qualifications: BS in Early Childhood Education or related field, one year teaching experience in a preschool classroom, valid drivers license Preferred qualifications: MS in Early Childhood Education or related field, previous management experience, 1 year in teaching capacity and work history in a Head Start program.

Title: Temporary Certified UPK Teacher (Hoosick Falls)

Responsibilities: The Commission on Economic Opportunity is seeking a Temporary NYS certified Early Childhood teacher for a Universal Pre-Kindergarten classroom for the Head Start facility in Hoosick Falls. This is temporary position that will begin approximately Mid-March. The positions is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Responsibilities: To plan and implement a developmentally appropriate full day program for preschool children, meeting UPK school district requirements while working collaboratively with teacher assistant, center staff, and service providers.
Qualifications: New York State Pre-K teaching certification is required and previous experience working with children.
